Delîl Dîlanar

Born in 1973 in Muş, Turkey, Delîl Dîlanar grew up among the dengbêj masters of Orgunos–Çukurbağ. He studied mey flute under the legendary Egîdê Cimo and inherited the repertoire of his uncle, Dengbêj Husêyno.
After leaving Turkey in 1999, Dîlanar based himself in Germany and released landmark albums including Ji Bo Bîranîna Dengbêj Husêno, Zerîyê, and Dengbêjname-1. Working with producer Hakan Akay, he bridges centuries-old Kurdish folk with contemporary instrumentation.
A singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, he has performed across Europe, the United States, and Kurdistan—bringing history, melody, and memory to stages worldwide.
